Local Counter (“Platform”, “we”, “our”, “us”) is a public business directory platform that allows users to submit and view business-related information.
By using this Platform, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.
1. Nature of Platform
Local Counter is only an information listing platform.
- We collect and display user-submitted business data
- We do not verify, validate, or authenticate any information
- Our role is strictly limited to publishing publicly available information
2. Information We Collect
We may collect the following information:
a) User-Submitted Data

- Phone number
- Address
- Email (if provided)
- Any other details submitted by users
b) Technical Data
- IP address

- Device information
- Cookies and usage data
3. Purpose of Data Usage

- Improve platform performance

- Communicate (if required)
4. Public Visibility of Information

By submitting data, you confirm that:
- You have the right to share the information
- The data is true and lawful
- You accept full responsibility for the content
7. Third-Party Use
We are not responsible for:
- How third parties use publicly available data
- Any misuse, scraping, or copying of data
8. Data Removal / Correction
- Users may request correction, updating, or deletion of their personal data by contacting us.
- We will review and process valid requests in accordance with applicable laws, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
- Certain information may be retained where required by law, for legal claims, fraud prevention, security purposes, or other legitimate business interests.
- Requests relating to publicly displayed business listings will be reviewed individually and may require verification before any changes or removal are made.

12. Your Rights under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”), you (the Data Principal) have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Right to Access: Request a summary of the personal data we hold about you.
- Right to Correction: Request correction or updating of inaccurate or misleading personal data.
- Right to Erasure: Request deletion of your personal data, subject to applicable legal and regulatory requirements.

13. WhatsApp Login & Communication Consent
By using the Login with WhatsApp feature, you expressly consent to the collection and use of your phone number for authentication purposes.
- Receiving One-Time Passwords (OTPs) via WhatsApp.
- Receiving essential account and platform-related notifications.
- Your phone number will be used solely for authentication, account security, and critical service communications.
- We will not use your WhatsApp number for promotional messaging without your separate consent.
14. Data Retention
We retain personal data and business listing information only for as long as necessary to provide our services or to comply with applicable legal obligations.
- Your personal information will generally be retained while your account remains active.
- If you request account deletion, your personal data will ordinarily be deleted within 30 days, unless a longer retention period is required by law.
- Public business listings may remain available in an anonymized form unless you specifically request their removal or applicable law requires otherwise.
15. Third-Party Integrations
To provide and improve our services, Local Counter relies on certain third-party services that may process limited information as necessary for their functionality.
- Google Maps API: Used to display business locations, maps, and calculate distances.
- PurioChat (AI Assistant): Used to process search queries and generate AI-assisted recommendations and responses.
These third-party providers process information in accordance with their own privacy policies. They do not receive access to your personal account information except where necessary to provide the requested functionality.
